Poring Over the Picture

It doesn’t snow often in north central Texas, but it does get cold enough for what little snow there is to stick. This image was made on the ranch on which I grew up. There is a hill where hay is stowed away all summer long for the livestock, and the large round bales are lined up neatly each year. On top of these bales was the perfect spot to get an encompassing view of part of the ranch.
