Using Rollovers to Magically Expand Your Page's Interface
An interactive site will keep your viewers entertained and can provide clarity and incentive to navigational choices. In web pages, where space is always an issue, remote rollovers (often called disjoint or swap rollovers) can be used to trigger new content in a reusable location. When that content is animated, your site can really deliver!
Getting Started
Through the use of simple animation symbols and masked photos, you'll create a navigation system that uses hotspots to trigger remote rollovers in two different areas of the page layout. To help you focus on the interactive elements, the page layout has been set up and preorganized.
You will be working with the file ca_start.png in the Project 6 folder on the accompanying CD-ROM. Before you begin, install the fonts (Crystal Radio Kit) found in the Fonts folder. These are just some of the many free fonts found at http://www.larabiefonts.com.
