Beta vs. VHS: Who Will Win the Battle of the Online Music War?

In the larger scheme of things, online music sales are paltry. Believe it or not, more people bought audiotapes last year than online music. However, that will dramatically change over the next few years. Folks will be buying an MP3 player and buying music online. In this arena, there are two companies slogging it out: Apple vs. Microsoft. You can think of it as similar to beta vs. VHS. The winner will depend on ease of use, availability, and content. Right now, beta looks as if it has the edge.
