Securing Squirrelmail

One concern with web-based email solutions is that they are not particularly secure. Usernames and passwords are typically sent as clear text, as are any email contents. Although you can secure the preferences and address books for users, as described above, doing so doesn’t help secure general access. Therefore, it is a good idea to consider securing Squirrelmail by configuring SSL for the website under which Squirrelmail is enabled in Server Admin.
