An update to an update was released last night.
You may recall that Adobe released Lightroom 1.4 a few weeks ago, which was primarily intended to update support for newer camera models, improve grayscale conversion, and resolve printing issues on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Unfortunately, shortly after the update was released a few problems were found. Hopefully anyone reading this blog has since uninstalled 1.4.
As promised, Adobe just released a new and improved Lightroom update (version 1.4.1) that addresses everything 1.4 was meant to do yet does so without the problems. I've no doubt this update was very thoroughly tested prior to release, and I have been running it without incident myself. If you (understandably) want to take a wait-and-see approach, just keep an eye on the Adobe Lightroom User to User forum, as any problems are sure to be reported there before anywhere else.
