Pocket protectors: You just can't have too many of these. The Dude has them in his shirt pockets, dinner jackets, and swim trunks. And don't forget to fill those pocket protectors with good, leak-proof pens! PDAs fit nicely in there, as well.
Propeller beanies: It's a law of physics that agitating the ions in the vicinity of your brain makes the neurons fire faster. Never ever try one of the Dude's computational hijinx without agitating. The propeller beanie is definitely the most efficient way of doing this. Make sure your cubicle has a good strong fan nearby, or open a window if you have one, to circulate the air and get those propellers spinning.
