Interaction Designer / User Experience Designer
Last updated Oct 17, 2003.
Such positions are the advocates for users ensuring the Web site experience is a smooth one. The work involves design and critical thinking as they often deal with broad concepts and making them a reality with the user in mind. The work involves collaborating with customers, designers, engineers, and product/marketing management.
Employees in these roles look at how humans interact with products and how the product works and then attempt to integrate the goals of the business and its users so that both needs are met. Interaction designers/user experience designers work with wireframes, site maps, flows, personas, mock-ups, briefs, and mental and conceptual models.
