This beautifully illustrated guide provides easy-to-follow instructions on processing images from start to finish. This step-based guide will show readers how to use these seven products together seamlessly as integrated modules also support their workflow - however they work. Readers can use Perfect Photo Suite directly from Photoshop, Lightroom, or Aperture - or as a standalone application.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great companion to onOne software, December 15, 2012

There are a lot of great post processing software out there nowadays, onOne being one of them, which leave Photoshop for the pros. I am an active amateur though and dreaded post work until this new breed of consumer friendly tool came to play. The big problem I found are all the instructions are online. There's nothing like reading a book when learning how to use them and this one is done in laymens terms. Real nice. Thank you Nicole S. Young

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book, February 19, 2013

This review is from: Plug In with onOne Software: A Photographer's Guide to Vision and Creative Expression (Paperback)
This is a well written and well illustrated book for onOne Software. The author does a good job of writing to all levels of experience in post-production photography and blends in processing examples at the end of most chapters.

OnOne software is an interesting photo editing software as it functions as either a plug-in for Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture and Photoshop Elements as well as a stand-alone application. It provides some excellent tools to improve and simplify post-production editing of a person's images. The author of this book explains what each tool in the suite does and how to use them. Some of the more challenging tasks (like removing and replacing backgrounds) are explained clearly enough that it is highly likely a person will be able to accomplish these advanced tasks after reading the appropriate chapters. This is a huge compliment as many books have tried and failed to explain how to do this. There is also an excellent chapter on layers which is a... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars This book is overdue., February 1, 2013

This review is from: Plug In with onOne Software: A Photographer's Guide to Vision and Creative Expression (Paperback)
I am one of those strange people who do not find it easy to learn off a video screen so my pet hate are Software creators who put their software into the market without documentation. Yes, some do produce videos but inevitably they skim the surface. OnOne has been around for a number of years but I have never felt able to give the time to try it out to the fullest extent so that I can adequately exploit it.

To now find a book covering the use of the software is marvelous and already I realise how much more creatively I can use the software.
We all owe Nicole Young a vote of thanks for taking the time to explore the software so thoroughly.

I do not read a software manual from A to Z but rather dip into it to learn how to carry out a specific procedure. So far I have found it hard to use this book in this manner and is the reason I have not awarded 5 stars. Nicole's language and mine are not the same at this juncture and mean I will have to put more energy... Read more
