Removing Red Eye in Lightroom
If you wind up with red eye in your photos, Photoshop Lightroom can get rid of it. Hey, red eye happens—especially if you have to grab a point-and-shoot camera to shoot your kid’s birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. They’re notorious as "red-eye generators" thanks to that flash being mounted so close to the lens. The ability to remove red eye is really handy because it saves you from having to jump over to Photoshop CS2/CS3 just to remove red eye from a photo of your neighbor’s six-year-old crawling through a giant hamster tube. Here’s how it works.
The Remove Red Eye tool is available only in the Develop module. When you find a photo with red eye in the Library module, click it and then press D on your keyboard to take the photo over to the Develop module (see Figure 1). The Remove Red Eye tool is located on the toolbar, below the center Preview area. (It looks sort of like an eye.)
