For many people, building a large following on any social network seems like a daunting task. This article provides 10 techniques that you can use to help expand your network to include many dedicated followers.

Complete Your Profile

This step may sound like a no-brainer, but I'm often surprised to see that people forget or simply neglect to fill out their profiles completely after they've signed up for Google+. On a network with millions of users, your profile is the one place that is truly yours. Figure 1 shows what I mean; notice how detailed my profile is. It's not difficult to fill in these blanks, and it's your first opportunity to make an impression with other Google+ users, giving people the chance to get to know you and your photography work.

More importantly: For many people, a blank or partially complete profile won't get circled.
