Answers
- Soundtrack Pro supports standard QuickTime-compatible file formats.
- You can navigate from frame to frame by clicking the Next Frame or Previous Frame buttons on the Video tab’s transport controls, or use the keyboard shortcuts Cmd–right arrow or Cmd–left arrow.
- You can find information about a video clip in the Details tab or on the Video track header.
- You can resize the Utility window or Video tab to fit the entire screen by clicking the Zoom button (+) in the top-left corner of the window or by dragging the Resize handle in the bottom-right corner of the window.
- You can choose preset layouts and save customized layouts in the Window menu.
- You can store preselected files for a multitrack project in the Bin tab.
- You can add time markers (green), beat markers (purple), or an end of song marker (red). There are also scoring markers (orange), which can only be added in Final Cut Pro. The shortcuts are M to set a time marker and Option-B to set a beat marker. There is no shortcut to set an end of song marker.
- Shift-M moves to the next marker, and Option-M moves to the previous marker.
- A playback region is an isolated portion of the Timeline with In and Out points that allows you to playback on that region. You can create a playback region by clicking and dragging the bottom half of the Time ruler.
- You can change a track’s name by clicking the name text field in the track header and typing a new name. To change a track’s icon, you simply click the icon on the track header and choose a different icon from the icon menu.
