Jasmit Kochhar

Jasmit Singh Kochhar is a Senior Satff Engineer with Qualcomm, Inc. and is currently developing applications for the BREW platform.

Jasmit has been a key player in developing the architecture, design, and development of numerous large-scale systems such as a Web-based workflow engine; a delegated administration tool for LDAP; a secure document storage, exchange, and delivery system; flexible integration tools to synchronize different data repositories; data warehousing systems; and an alumni networking tool for educational institutions.

His areas of expertise include COM, ASP, Java, EJB, CORBA, XML, XSL-based frameworks, Numerical Optimization, and Design of Information Systems. He serves as a technical advisor to numerous startups such as eMaiMai.com, TekChand LLC, NGx2, and FinancialWise.

Jasmit has written for numerous professional journals such as International Journal of Production Research, Computers and Operations Research, and INFORMS Interfaces; and has presented papers at numerous conferences on Numerical Optimization techniques such as Genetic Algorithms.
