First: Type a Bit of Text

With the form file open, we select “Add or Edit Text Box” in the Tools pane, which gives us the Typewriter toolbar. Clicking on the big “Typewriter” button causes our mouse pointer to turn to an I-Beam and we’re ready to type.

Let’s first type in our name. We click on the PDF page above the “Name” entry line and type a name, preferably our own (Figure 5). Looking at Figure 5, we can see two problems with our initial text entry: the text is too small, compared to the printed text on the form, and it’s not positioned exactly on the line, as I’d prefer. Let’s fix this.

Figure 5 Start by typing your name somewhere near the “Name” line. We’ll tweak its position later.
