Now You Can Really Get to Work!

Congratulations! Now that you've defined the local and remote servers, you can begin creating and working with the files and folders of your site, using Dreamweaver's Files panel (see Figure 11).

One last tip might save you a little time: If you use the same server for more than one website and you need to define a new site, you can choose a site defined in the Manage Sites dialog and then click the Duplicate button below the list of sites. Edit the copy you just created, changing the details of the definition to fit your new site. Happy website building!

Tom Negrino is the author or coauthor of more than 40 books, covering such diverse topics as iCloud, Dreamweaver, JavaScript, Keynote, Microsoft Office, CSS, and more. His latest book is Dreamweaver CS6: Visual QuickStart Guide
