Publishing a Video Podcast Using iWeb

After you finish recording and editing the audio to go along with your video podcast, you publish it in the same way you would publish an audio podcast: make certain that you have saved the project and then select Send Podcast to iWeb from the Share menu. GarageBand will package the data in your podcast and launch iWeb. iWeb will ask you to which blog or podcast page you want to add the episode (you will need to have created a podcast page previously in iWeb). Select the appropriate podcast. iWeb will then create a new podcast episode page and place the video of the podcast on it. You can edit the episode page and you can use the Blog and Podcast tab of iWeb’s Inspector palette to edit information about the podcast as a whole or about the episode you just created (any episode information you added in GarageBand is automatically entered), as shown in Figure 5.

To publish the podcast, simply publish or republish your site using iWeb. You can also submit the podcast to the podcast directory in the iTunes Music Store by selecting Submit Podcast from the File menu. Once published, viewers can watch your video podcast by using the episode pages on your iWeb site or subscribe by using iTunes or a similar application.
