RSA SecurID: One-Time Password VPN Security

RSA produces a number of token-based authentication solutions. However, only its one-time password solutions (known as RSA SecurIDs) support Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server, and that support is limited to use in VPN access. The VPN service in Mac OS X Server provides built-in support for RSA SecurIDs (along with support for CryptoCard solutions), and RSA provides command-line server management tools that can be installed to manage RSA SecurIDs under Mac OS X Server. Although not as broad as the support for smart cards of CryptoCard’s solutions, RSA SecurIDs do provide a way to offer enhanced VPN security.
