Dreamweaver can automatically sort tabular data by column—a neat trick that lets you tinker with how the data is organized long after you've imported it into your table. There's just one catch: tables cannot be sorted if they include any cells spanning multiple columns, such as the merged cells in our current example. With a quick cut and paste, however, it's easy to work around this restriction as long as the merged cells are not scattered through the table. (See extra bits on page 57.)
Use the status bar's tag selector to click the <table> tag, then choose Commands > Sort Table to open the Sort Table dialog box.
