It’s Your Turn: St. Anselm’s Church
Felix Nelson is our Creative Director here at Kelby Media Group. When I moved down here from New York City, Felix and I instantly had things to talk about because of the City. As it turns out, Felix spent a lot of his childhood just a couple of blocks away from where I lived in the Bronx. After going back and forth talking about places from the neighborhood, he asked me if I knew where St. Anselm’s was. This I did not know, but I made it a point to find out the next time I was in New York.
St. Anselm’s is a crown jewel of a church in the middle of the South Bronx. After some talking to the pastor there, I was able to set up a tripod and capture a series of images to make this HDR file. Ever so grateful for the opportunity, I sent them a print of this image. All of the tricks we talked about with the Austin Capitol are in play here. Pay particular attention to the amount of blue toward the center of the image, in addition to the air conditioning vents that line the outside aisles of the church. Now it’s your turn. Let’s see what your interpretation of this image is.
