Basic Page Properties

With nothing on the page (or at least nothing selected), you can set a few page properties like background color and/or image and what the grid on the page looks like, in the Inspector on the right.

If you wanted to add a web image (JPG, GIF, or PNG) to the background of the page, click the + to the right of No Backgrounds in the BACKGROUNDS section of the Inspector (see Figure 5). You can add multiple backgrounds in the form of a color, gradient, or image that stack on each other.

Macaw also has a visible grid that you can adjust in the Inspector panel. The GRID options in the Inspector panel allow you to adjust the grid width and numbers of columns, among other things (see Figure 6). If you change to a different breakpoint, you can also set grid options specific to that breakpoint.
