Using and Creating Text Macros
Did you know that GoLive has built-in text macros for automating repetitive text entry? Did you know that you can also create your own customized text macros in GoLive? This is one of the best timesaving features in GoLive and definitely one of my favorites. You'll be amazed at all this functionality sitting there deep inside the program. This project shows you how to use, create, and get the most out of your text macros.
Project 1: Using and Creating Text Macros
by Paul Vachier
Getting Started
This project illustrates the use, creation, and advanced customization of text macros that automatically enter repetitive info, in this case company e-mail addresses. I've worked for a couple of large companies where I was constantly inputting employees' email addresses into the web site. In addition to having to look them up all the time, typing them all out was a time waster. Setting up some macros to automatically enter the information can be a great time saver. After finishing this project, you'll have some even better ideas on what to do with text macros; this project is just the tip of the iceberg.
