Split into Grid

If you need to make a series of rectangles that are evenly spaced apart, draw a rectangle in the overall width you need. Then from the Object menu, choose Path>Split Into Grid. Click the Preview checkbox and then enter the number of rows to indicate the number of objects you want. You can also enter specific widths, gutters (space between columns), or the total width or height you need. There is also the option of creating guides for your grid.
