Add Masking Layer

The bouquet image is too big and covers up too much of the layout. We only want part of the bouquet image to display, so we’ll use a Layer Mask to hide the unwanted parts.

square1 In the Timeline, click in the Eye column to the right of the layer name bouquet to temporarily hide the image.

square2 Add a new layer, and name it bouquet mask.

square3 Select the Rectangle tool.

square4 Set the Stroke color well to none.

square5 Set the Fill color well to black.

square8 Click the red X in the Eye column on the bouquet layer to make the image visible again.

Note that the bouquet and bouquet_mask layers are locked. This is required for the mask to display correctly.
