Creating Page Transitions

One way you can make your document more dynamic is by adding page transitions. Choose the transition you want in InDesign; then export your document in PDF or Flash format and see the effect in action in Adobe Reader, Acrobat, the Flash player, or even a web browser.

  1. In InDesign, open the Pages panel (Window > Pages). From the panel options menu, choose Page Transitions > Choose. In the Page Transitions dialog box, hold the pointer over each of the transition thumbnails to see animated previews of the various page transition effects.
  2. The first 11 page transitions correspond to the page transitions with the same names available for a PDF document in Adobe Acrobat. For this exercise, select the Page Turn (SWF Only) page transition, activate the Apply To All Spreads options and then click OK.
