From the author of Deployment

With the build finalized and signed, we began the deployment process. The first step was to create an AIR badge that would install WorkflowLab. We used AIR's Badger development tool (shown in Figure 1) to generate a badge file, using assets provided to us by the product team. These assets included text copy and the background image.

The Badger tool generated an HTML, JavaScript, and SWF file, which we gave to the Adobe Labs team so that they could embed it within WorkflowLab's landing page. Then we provided the final, updated XML file and the signed AIR file to the Labs team. The Labs team and the product team verified all of the content, making sure that the badge installed the application, the XML was in the right location, and all the content was properly staged. Once all of this was verified, the content was pushed live on the first day of the October 2009 Adobe MAX conference in Los Angeles.
