Gary D. Bouton

Gary David Bouton is an author and illustrator who adopted the personal computer after 20 years of creating artwork at a traditional drafting table. Inside Adobe Photoshop 5.5 is Gary's ninth book on Adobe Photoshop; he has written eight other books on computer graphics for New Riders Publishing, in addition to being a contributing author to three books on CorelDRAW.

Gary has won several international awards in desktop publishing and design, and he was a finalist in the 1996 Macromedia People's Choice Awards. A contributing writer to Corel Magazine and other publications, Gary is also moderator emeritus of the CorelXARA discussion list on i/us at http://www.i-us.com/xara.htm. Barbara Mancuso Bouton has co-authored all editions of Inside Adobe Photoshop and was the editor of the New Riders Official World Wide Web Yellow Pages. Gary Kubicek has been a contributing author for six books on Photoshop; he has also been a technical editor for eight books. A professional photographer for more than 20 years, Gary was an early adopter of Photoshop and the "digital darkroom" as an extension of the self-expression he finds in his traditional photographic work.

Gary is also a digital imaging consultant, owner of a photo restoration business, and a Photoshop, PageMaker, and Office 97 software instructor for a variety of clients.
