Hiding Widgets You Don’t Need
If you start downloading a lot of widgets (hey, it’s easy to get hooked on these things), and your Widget Bar starts getting really long, you can choose which widgets stay visible in your Widget Bar and which ones are hidden from view. You do this by bringing up Dashboard (F4 on your keyboard or F12 on older keyboards), then clicking the Open (+) button in the bottom-left corner, and then clicking on the Manage Widgets button that appears to the right of the Close button (see above). This brings up the Manage Widgets dialog, which is simple to use. Just turn off the checkbox beside any widget you want hidden, then close the dialog by clicking on the little X button in the upper-left corner. Now, only the widgets that you left turned on will appear in your Widget Bar, which shortens your scrolling, and cuts down the clutter big time. If you ever want those widgets back, just go back to the Manage Widgets dialog and turn their checkboxes back on.
