Object Hierarchies

We use various constructs like scenes, frames, layers, symbols, and groups as containers to organize files. Editing symbols and groups can get confusing because oftentimes groups are placed inside other groups that are inside symbols inside other symbols. Confused yet? Imagine what it’s like to edit them! The keys to success are the Edit Bar and the Property Inspector. Let’s try them out.

In the Edit Bar confirm you’re still in symbol-editing mode on the gr_siteFramework symbol. With the Selection tool, select the gr_logo instance and choose View > Magnification > 400% to zoom way in.

Return the view to 100%.
