Setting the Window Color

You can fine-tune the color and style of the frames of your windows.

To set the window color:

  • Choose Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Personalization > Window Color (Figure 4.7).

    Right-click an empty area of the desktop and choose Personalize > Window Color.

  • Click a color in the list or click Show Color Mixer to create your own color.

    Drag the Color Intensity slider to dilute or deepen the chosen color.

  • Check Enable Transparency if you want to see through the edges of windows; uncheck it for opaque edges (which use less power).
  • Click Save Changes.
