Don't forget that you can use text for a decorative effect. Here, we'll add an ornamental effect to our headline.
Double-click the text box containing the headline and sub-head.
Click the Fonts icon in the toolbar to open the Font window.
The Character Palette opens.
A selection of ornamental characters appears in the window.
Close the Character Palette.
Close the Font window.
The character has been inserted before the headline, but it's too large. Let's fix it.
Click the Fonts icon in the toolbar to open the Fonts window.
Change the Size to 12.
Close the Fonts window.
In the Inspector, click the Text button.
In the Text Inspector pane click More.
