International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This organization is the largest standards group in the world. Some of its specifications relate to the Web, such as many of the character sets (the standardized sets of language characters and how they are produced technologically).
Web Standards Project (WaSP). The WaSP site features the regularly updated "BUZZ" Web log with news from the world of Web standards, opinion pieces, resources, articles for designers and developers, and a FAQ available in multiple languages to assist people interested in understanding the concern for standards.
World Wide Web Consortium. All the specifications related to HTML, XHTML, CSS and accessibility, as well as many other specifications, reside here. You can find an HTML and XHTML validator and a CSS validator, too.
