I find Jeff Carlson's books (I have several) to be quite helpful. I shoot video on a variety of cameras, including my iPhone and I use Apple's services (iCloud, etc.) extensively. I bought this book to learn better ways to make this stuff work together and to get a better feel for iMovie workflows. His ideas are practical and clearly explained.This book would be helpful for most users, regardless of their experience level.

Excellent and easy to understand book. I am new to making movies and with this book, I am learning how to edit and enhance my videos. The author is clear and the photos really help.
