Jeff Carlson is the author of Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac OS X: Visual QuickStart Guide, iMovie 09 and iDVD for Mac OS X: Visual QuickStart Guide, and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Pocket Guide. I read through this one, and decided this was the best to cart around with me when I went on trips. It covers everything I need to know though maybe a bit techie if someone didn't have any knowledge about these products to begins with.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He has always disliked computers and tech but gave in and asked for an iPad for Xmas. I wanted a book that was not intimidating and one that would be readable with detailed explanations . I chose this for its size and because I had previous pocket guides by this author. He's been using it and very happy with it. Especially the size,would have been turned off by a big, thick textbook type book. |
