3.0 out of 5 stars Not Much of a Class, February 10, 2013

I have little doubt that the work of the illustrator Norman Rockwell will still be hanging on the walls of museums 100 years from now. I suspect that the works of surrealistic photographer Jerry Uelsmann will still be looked at in 100 years. I wonder if any of the works of the thirty artists featured in this book will survive that long.

Each section of the book features a short portfolio by a single artist, beginning with a small photograph of the artist and what appears to be a typical artist's statement. This is followed by another three pages featuring the works of the artist. Nine of the artists' portfolios are followed by tutorials explaining the Photoshop techniques used by the artist. The photographers' works range from image modifications designed to enhance the look of a photograph that, to the unwarned eye, appear to show no post-processing, to surrealistic visions, like a winged woman flying amidst snow covered peaks that can only be achieved by extensive post... 3.0 out of 5 stars Useful but a misnomer, March 15, 2013

The title Master Class is certainly a mis-classification at the very least. While there are some tutorials set with some of the contributor's examples there are just as many that are photographs without any explanation other than possible inspiration for the readers. If you're looking for inspiring photographs I would recommend Miss Aniela's Creative Portrait Photography. Want to improve your Photoshop skills? Check out any of Martin Evening's books. Overall a mildly useful book but there are better publications available.

Im not really in to this type of Mastery Photography. Sure some of the info in this book is great, But not for the Price. This has good information don't miss understand just wasn't for me. The Tile is a little misleading. What I got was alot of master Photographers and Photoshop Masters show you how to real quick this and that and thats it. Im sure some one will get a better use than I did Just wasn't' for me.
